My thoughts exactly. But, as Peel Region was mentioned, we can ASSume that many of those involved have ties to the India area. On the other hand, police wouldn't want to offend the criminals now would they? The last thing we want is dozens of complaints being lodged with the Ontario Human Rights Commission by criminals who FEEL offended. Justin Trudeau; the gift that keeps on giving!
The catch and release legal industry that farms criminals for profit have been hit hard in the pocket book. Someone stole these vehicles and should be charged and convicted. And punished under the criminal code. Stolen property is part of the reason for high insurance costs to the consumer
Had a GMC pick up stolen 2005 Brantford Ontario, police took report said they knew where the truck was but would not be going to get it on the 6 Nations. Reported to insurance company they said don't worry about it probably in a container going to Africa. Since 2005 hundreds of thousands of vehicles have been stolen in Canada, Canadians have paid billions of $$$$$ for vehicle insurance and what did the governments, police, CBSA, and insurance companies do? Why they held out their hands for more money. The winners in this, the car companies that replaced the thousands of vehicles at taxpayer expense, of course that is not including their billions of $$$$$ of taxpayer subsidies.
I bet Elon is wondering how he can get more of his cars stolen in Canada. Maybe the government can throw in generator-charges (made by a Brookfield company of course) with every car stolen and sent overseas. Oooops. Didn't mean to give the Carney (lack of) government any suggestions...
PBD podcast mentioned that Hawaii is the cheapest state for car insurance, because of little theft, as criminals can't get the stolen cars off the island.
No where does it say how many vehicles were reported stolen this year so these numbers of recovered vehicles are useless. Get the real facts and report them.
