An elderly woman says she was offered assisted suicide by a doctor at Vancouver General Hospital for an injury that was healed by bed rest.

An elderly B.C. woman says she was offered assisted suicide after arriving at Vancouver General Hospital due to “excruciating and unusual foot pain.”

Miriam Lancaster, 83, told CityNews that her pain began one morning last year while she was attempting to get out of bed in the morning.
