So after a hundred plus years of property development, judicious land management and taxes being paid by citizens on what was thought to be private land and property holdings, the courts are now stripping these land assets from their legal owners only to hand such assets over, lock, stock and barrel, for free, to people who have never paid anything into the purchase of such land, the upkeep of, or taxation or development costs of that land?......The blatant, sheer theft by government via corrupted judiciary, courts and government controlled "judges" of private land property holdings is nothing short of mafiosa style theft......

David Eby the only premier to sign onto UNRA.. If B.C. doesn't get rid of these left wing nutbars we are going to be in for more of this hurt.

I would suggest that it is already too late for BC to rebound from all of the socio-economic destruction caused by the far left BC NDP over the last years.....

This is an extremely concerning discussion regarding Haida Gwaii and the recent Cowichan ruling as well. The door has been opened for more taxpayers $$$$ heading to the Indian Industry. Even more concerning is the discussion around what the Charter says and doesn't say.

No one is going to take my private property from me. The Govt better be prepared for a class action lawsuit.

Yes, and that effort will likely end up being overseen by a hand-selected judge.

Judge or no judge…I’ll just reiterate that no one is going to take my private property from me.

Definitely discouraging for Canadian taxpayers. I am concerned about (The Land Titles) system we have with our land purchasing system in Canada. I understood that when we moved from the old Registry system to the new Land Titles System, our lands were considered safe and secure. This is not true and the government has failed again.

There was a Superior Court legal case in B.C. and another in N.B. Where will the citizens of N.B. be 5 years when first nations owns 5/8 of New Brunswick. Will we pay our taxes to them or the Province? Who will run the hospitals, schools, police services, etc.

Well, that's enough for now.

Lots of questions but very little answers.

Talk later,

Rocky.

Yeh... That is likely to now be a bit of a problem courtesy of woke/progressive and incompetent NDP Governance and corrupted, woke Judges.

This is absolutely ridiculous and leaves all private property owners in BC at risk!

We no longer are all equal under the law!

When WERE we equal under the law? The law is cleverly engineered for the Elite; the rest of us can capitulate and keep working to feed the Pigs.

Real estate prices in BC are about to tumble. Who is going to purchase a house or start a business anywhere in BC when their very right of ownership will be highly questionable? What a mess. On top of all the rest of Canadian economic and political confusion, uncertainty and leader incompetence.

CHMC has declared there will be a glut of rentals on the market in 2026. Could it be the younger generation is giving up on this province/country? Give it to the Indians. Those headdresses have certainly marked a new era for them as they try and give the impression they are a new generation of landowners. Rich and powerful thanks to David Eby. The only premier to sign UNRAH at the UN. Yea stupid comes to mind.

FN elders need to be told that the days of clinging to the false ideology of "hereditary power" is over. They must step aside and let the young FN men and women shake off the yoke of the corrupt tribal system where power and money hands back and forth among politically powerful families who enrich themselves leaving the people in cyclical misery and poverty. The days of Canadian taxpayers funding of their archaic "cultural" politics is coming to a swift end.

Another example of the lieberals turning people against people. All hate induced by the communist lieberals to bring the country to it's knees. The communist way to have control over the peasants.

The government failed us by giving title to the Charlottes to only one tribe. I have long advocated giving the Islands to all Indians in Canada and extinguishing the Indian Act in the rest of Canada. There is enough land on the islands for every Indian to have an ocean view lot and every chief and hereditary chief to have ocean front. They could then govern and pay for their way of life themselves and the rest of Canada would be freed from this “Systemic Racism”. I have lived with Indians all my life and now live on Rez and willingly pay property taxes to the local tribe.
