B.C. MLA Hon Chan refuses to step down despite assault, choking charges

Reporters asked Chan if he’s going to step down and he said “Not right now.”

Despite being ejected from the B.C. Conservative caucus over serious charges, which include assault by choking, Richmond Centre MLA Hon Chan is refusing to step down.

Now sitting as an Independent, Chan told reporters on Tuesday he would stay on as an MLA.
