B.C. leadership candidates call for pipeline, revival of forest industry

All four candidates present in the B.C. Conservative Leadership debate stressed the importance of building a pipeline from Alberta to the West coast.

B.C. Conservative leadership debate in New Westminster

During Juno News’ first-ever live Conservative leadership debate in New Westminster on Wednesday night, all four candidates who were present said they would support an oil pipeline that would ship oil from Alberta to the B.C. coastline and get energy to Asian markets.

Candidates were also asked about unlocking the province’s natural resource sector more broadly as well, including forestry.
