BC Conservatives maintain lead over BC NDP as Findlay shrugs off Trump label
A new Leger poll shows the BC Conservatives leading the BC NDP by four points, with the party holding a significant advantage among younger voters.
The BC Conservatives have maintained a lead over Premier David Eby’s NDP, according to a new Leger poll conducted just days after Kerry-Lynne Findlay was elected party leader.
The survey found that 45 per cent of decided voters would support the BC Conservatives if an election were held tomorrow, compared to 41 per cent for the BC NDP. The result marks a seven-point gain for the Conservatives and a seven-point decline for the NDP since the party’s post-election peak recorded by Leger in October 2025.
Demographically, the poll shows the BC Conservatives leading among younger voters. According to Leger, 44 per cent of voters aged 18 to 34 say they would vote for the party, rising to 53 per cent among those aged 35 to 54. The BC NDP leads among voters aged 55 and older, with 47 per cent saying they would support the party.
