A new poll suggests the BC Conservatives are gaining momentum against Premier David Eby’s government as controversy surrounding Indigenous land rights legislation continues to dominate provincial politics.

An Angus Reid Institute survey released Tuesday found the BC Conservatives holding a 10-point lead over the governing BC NDP despite the opposition party still being without a permanent leader. The Conservatives sit at 46 per cent support compared to 36 per cent for the NDP, marking the governing party’s weakest showing in Angus Reid polling since 2020.
