The race for the Conservative Party of British Columbia leadership just got smaller after Kelowna-Mission MLA Gavin Dew announced Wednesday he will not seek the party’s top job.
As much as I hate DEI we need to stop losing on principle all the time. People are so tired of old white men as leaders. There are plenty of talented women and others we could put forward. How about Ellis Ross, one of the most honest politicians in Canada?
OR are we, the common sense small c conservatives, losing on fear of political and societal retribution for resolutely fighting back AGAINST wokeness, pseudo-science, intersectionality & resultant victim worship, irrationally self-imposed guilt for believing truths, and Marx-inspired globalism as a replacement for sovereignty? Keith, the ROYAL WE (i.e. everyone to the right of the wacky left currently in control in BC and in Ottawa), are the ones with principles. It's the opposite of what you seem to be suggesting. What you SEEM to be suggesting is EXACTLY what the mainstream media IS suggesting. I find that worrisome.
From what I've seen thus far, we are clearly lacking a leader we are collectively willing to follow, and if we're serious about getting rid of the opportunistic virtue signaling crazy left, it does not matter what sex or skin color our new leader is, so long as he / she is capable and willing to lead this province down a path paved with truth and common sense. Sometime herding cats can be rather difficult, but it seems that Aaron Gunn just might have what it takes.
I want a Leader who is the most competent, experienced and honest candidate available.
Ellis Ross is a great choice. His ethnicity is irrelevant. But he is doing a great job in Ottawa and may not feel the desire to step up.
To paraphrase Martin Luther King, I want a Leader who embodies "character" and leadership qualities. The color of one's skin (gender, sexuality...) should never be a consideration.
Heres an idea . Lets pick the most qualified candidate without giving a shit about their color gender sexual orientation or anything but their qualifications
How about Dallas Brodie?
