The 2026 Conservative Party of British Columbia leadership race exploded into a high-stakes ideological battleground Friday night as five candidates took to the stage at the Kitsilano Ballroom.

Billed as a discussion on the "Future of Conservatism," it quickly devolved into a series of blistering attacks, with frontrunners questioning each other’s records on everything from Indigenous rights to campaign hiring practices.

Friday night’s debate was the second to take place during the 2025 B.C. Conservative leadership after the Juno News debate in New Westminster earlier this month.
