Avi Lewis “unfazed” by “comrade” MP abandoning post

NDP Leader Avi Lewis told reporters he is “not fazed” by NDP MP Alexandre Boulerice’s announcement that he is leaving the federal NDP to run for the separatist provincial party Quebec Solidaire.

The already small NDP caucus is losing another member, with Boulerice resigning his Montreal-area riding seat of Rosemont—La Petite-Patrie, which he has held since 2011.

The party’s new leader, Avi Lewis, said he is “not fazed” by his “comrades’ decision to instead run as a provincial candidate in the separatist Quebec Solidaire party.”
