And completely disrespectful to the people they pretend to represent. Just keep feeding them lies until they believe it...oh wait...that's the Trudeau plan of attack!

Add to that the arbitrary measures of a compliant and arbitrary judiciary and you have the perfect Hell.

Never moving back to nova scotia.. its a lost cause.. the smaller provinces are being used by the WEF in every evil way possible.

Yes, i remember fire bans in the past that we observed but not this dystopian nonsense of hugh fines. People have common sense, well obviously not the politicians, but normal folk...

Mandating people out of the forest to prevent fires kinda throws a kink into the whole "climate change" narrative doesn't it?

It's funny that they are still promoting tourism about the beautiful forests they have in nova Scotia!🤣🤣

Connie: I recently saw a tourism ad on TV promoting the beauty of Nova Scotia. Talk about ironic. The so-called 'conservative' government is paying big bucks to celebrate the attributes of the province - while banning its' own citizens from enjoying them. Hmmm...I wonder what would happen if a family from out of the country was caught 'walking-in-the-woods'? Would their dream trip to N.S. end in a crippling fine...or would they get a pass?

These "premiers" are now flailing around attempting to rationalize to the public their abject over reaching authoritarianism and abuse of position of power. They are all a disgrace to truth justice and the political position of power they hold.....

The foundation of tyranny is the multiplying, and acceptance, of arbitrary measures.

"The citizen who is loyal to the Chief Magistrate will neither advise nor submit to arbitrary measures." - Junius.

Every Canadian should tattoo that onto their forehead, backwards, so they can read it in their morning mirror.

Spraying tinder dry forests with a known desiccant (glyphosate), is completely insane. These people are up to something nefarious and need to be removed from office.

While I wholeheartedly disapprove of government overreach, I must question the accuracy of this content. Do you have proof that the forest access ban is denying people access to their own private property (including forested areas) or is that access ban only including crown land, public land, and private and public campgrounds.

If Juno plans to ethically and sans ego trip replace CBC, it is imperative that news reports are accurate (provably) and not sensationally motivated.

I continue to scrutinize closely

The NS government website seems to contradict its directive regarding private land:

"These and other measures are in place on provincial Crown and private land until October 15 or until conditions allow them to be lifted."

"Private landowners are free to use their own properties but cannot host others to use wooded areas of their properties."

In the first report from the NS premier, he stated that people owning cabins or summer homes in a forested area could not go to them during the fire ban.

I was thinking more like land owners going to do work or walk on their own (primary or sole residence) property. The context of can you access you summer cottage in the midst of a serious wildfire risk seems rather obviously reasonable

We lived in Kelowna and lived very close to the fire there. We were evacuated for a couple of days. What is going on here is not evacuating because the fire is close but what they are saying is no one is allowed into the forested areas, period.
