Ismail Abrahimzada, a 23-year-old resident of Aurora, has been arrested after allegedly driving his vehicle dangerously through Rotary Park, including through a playground, splashpad and walking paths where children played, though no injuries had been reported.

Durham Regional Police announced the arrest of Abrahimzada on Monday for the incident which allegedly took place on July 18, 2026. The man was given a bail hearing the same day, according to police.

The Ontario Superior Court was not immediately available for comment to answer whether he had been granted bail, while the Canada Border Services Agency refused to reveal Abrahimzada’s immigration status.
