A church in Vernon, B.C., has sustained “substantial damage” caused by a fire; fortunately, no one was injured in the blaze. It took approximately 35 firefighters from four fire departments to extinguish the fire, and an RCMP investigation into its cause is underway.

“We’re incredibly grateful that everyone is safe, and we’re so thankful for the prayers and support we’ve received tonight,” wrote Vernon Alliance Church in an update on Monday. “We have limited details at this time, but we know that the building has sustained substantial damage.”
