Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree refused to disclose what he called “privileged information” related to a consultation report on the Liberals’ Bill C-22, proposed legislation critics say would turn Canada into a “surveillance state.”

While testifying before the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security, Anandasangaree declined to provide details about the report, calling it a “distraction.”
