The Marxist Feminist terrorist organization known as the "ATA" needs to be disbanded.

The damage done by their WOKE DEI indoctrination garbage has destroyed children and families... The Health Care "Ghouls", and activist Judiciary needs to be next.

Time for more privatisation of schools in Alberta. More local control with local values would really improve the education system.

Time to dump the union. The union is supposed to get the best offer and take it to the membership not reject it on their own . Unions are supposed to work for you not against you.

We need to remember that when any workers pay goes up, the Union Management's pay also increases. If they were doing it for their union members, they would listen to them and have them in the classroom while negotiating. Just like Canada Post, who actually benefits from these strikes and extortion tactics..........

The ATA, a division of The Nenshi’s NDP, keeps the flames burning against Smith and the UCP.

I think there should be seperate classes for ESL students as well as seperate classes for those with learning disabilities ( with specifically trained teachers and assistants) but another class(es) for those with behavioural issues. Having several students with significant challenges hinders the rest of the students from having a cohesive teaching lesson. Throwing all kids together, no matter their challenges, is a failed experiment that has hurt them all.

Everyone should know and understand that ALL unions country-wide are far left leaning, riddled with Marxist communistic ideologies! Taking down a province and creating unrest, hatred and bankrupting fiscal responsibilities are just some of their playbook tools! Canada Post unions fall under these same tactics!!

When will union members learn, most union action is ONLY about keeping those at the top secure.

Learned that decades ago when I toured BCTF building. Just go see any HQ for any big union. See how cushy staff there is. Compared to the workers. The original MLM

Union bosses should give account of their wages and benefits. They live large and the pensions are right up there with the politicians.

Once along time ago unions was a much needed organization for the workers to get better pay, benefits and etc.. but now hacks are just self serving and political propagandists. This union is in bed with the NDP and right there that stops everything for me! This union is against our oil and gas industry in this province and that industry is the bread and butter to this province and the country! If they supported the oil and gas industry maybe we could have the money to support their demands! Personally I care for the students but these unions and teachers got to be reeled in, they both forget who they work for and who pays their salary.(Taxpayers) Right now in this country the taxpayers are being fleeced for the green grifted that’s bankrupting this country. The most important problem we have is an affordability crisis, but these clowns strike and demand an unambiguous pay increase, they must think money grows on trees. I think these guys need a course in economics or get a refund on their education because it tells me they got taught nothing. I’m totally behind our Premier and if this goes on for a year so be it!!!

I would think educating our youth should be an essential service. Alberta definitely can’t afford another NDP government, still paying for the last on. It appears the ATA is just another branch of the NDP…Notoriously Dumb People

That’s what is so sad about the union leaders, they are a bunch off radical idiots, the students are paying the teachers aren’t getting paid but the gross leaders still receive there pay.

Public unions paid by the taxpayer-ie. ATA should not be allowed to strike. The reason is simple-it’s not a fair fight. The unions lie to and scare the heck out of parents and the politicians weaken and pay out money from the taxpayer. Not a fair fight!!!

An increase in salary of 3% to 4% over 4 years IMHO is fair game. If said teachers wanted 7%-8% salary increase over the same period then perhaps they ought to seek work in the private sector where employers would not consider that type of increase. Teachers, whether they like it or not are civil servants, part of the broader employment of government. If anyone was to take a look they ought to reconsider their position otherwise find alternate employment elsewhere.

ATA membership should be voluntary, not mandated.
