I love it. Our Doctors and Our lawyers are censored in Canada, and this must stop.

This is good, enough of these regulators controlling all speech, in short gagging professionals to only speak the approved doctrine/propaganda.......... Enough is enough.

Every politician in Canada should be sitting up and taking notice at Premier Smith's action on behalf of citizens. It's unconscionable that professional organizations get to dictate what their members say and do in their private lives. Nurses, teachers, doctors, psychiatric professionals, lawyers, and all regulated professionals who MUST be licenced by these bodies deserve better representation. We have no choice in joining these colleges, but the colleges now need to be cleansed of ideology and made politically neutral once again.

I'm sure every politician in Canada IS sitting up and taking notice of Premier Smith's action on behalf the citizens she represents. They're either whispering among themselves about how to cut the ground out from under her feet because "she's making them look bad" while privately weighing their options as to which way they should go so as to maintain their own power position. Canada is governed by back-stabbing, manipulative word-weasels with no interest in public service if it gets in the way of their own personal power agendas.

And once again Smith leads and basically stands alone.

Something that soon, if the disaster that is currently Canada continues, is likely the only reasonable option Alberta will have.

And again... GOOD ON SMITH!!!!

Social engineers have been silencing some of the brightest minds in Canada. Jordan Peterson is the perfect example. When the brightest are silenced we have thought promotion of the least bright. DS is a rock star politician who loves her province. Wish we had more politicians of this caliber across Canada. We would not be in the mess we are in.

Danielle Smith has more "balls" than any other current politician in Canada including Pierre Poilievre.

I expect some professional licensing bodies, NDP, ATA and other public unions to start criticizing and trashing this new, important legislation. These radical left wing, woke organizations feel threatened with free expression and free speech pathways that people have to voice their own opinions.. This is welcome and overdue legislation..Far left wing, woke ideologies have been seeping into and now embedded into our political, social, schoolcurriculums, police, judiciary and most other social institutions for decades and now needs to be rooted out and purged from society and institutions before it completely destroys common sense in social values, morals, ethics and continues to enlarge the massive social divisions and foments more racism and anti-Christian hatred within our society.......

The lefties will lose their minds. I can hardly wait to hear the faux outrage.

Fred W.'s avatar

The problem is they really are outraged. They're f**king nuts but they don't know they're nuts. They think they're morally right and that we're cruel, callous, knuckle-dragging neanderthals.

It’s about time. Thank you Danielle! I’m grateful to live in a province whose government has chosen good old common sense as a basis to government by—and does it in spite of a group of loud mouthed, misguided radicals attempting to take them down at every turn.

Keep it up!

A lot of anxiety in the population about not-so-clever, hurtful maneuvers Carney will do next.

Premier Moe in Saskatchewan needs to do the same thing!

Replicating sound, intelligent common sense philosophy that is now mandated in the US! TREMENDOUS!! It is truly sad - and dangerous - just how far off the left side of the political world Canada finds itself! Thank goodness we have Premier Smith in Alberta!’

Alberta is doing what the courts would have done had the Charter of Rights meant anything. Unfortunately, it will be up to the courts to apply the Peterson law.

Very well stated and total common sense. Unfortunately, in todays world it is becoming a rare commodity.

Brava, Danielle! Now stop kowtowing to the Viceroy of Canada. He is 'agreement incapable".

A free, sovereign Alberta will be greater than the rest of the Colony which will remain to wither on the vine.
