Irrelevant whether the land was ceded or not. The acknowledgement serves absolutely no purpose other than to bolster the view that it is somehow "their's". It is not. Which nomads roamed these lands 200 years ago has importance only as historical study; none otherwise.

Land acknowledgements are BS.

Should be grounds for immediate demotion or worse.

What a crock of shite.

Ban the land acknowledgements everywhere in Canada, they are just harbingers of upcoming land claims and once you say you are on "unceded land" it just makes it harder on the 95% of Canadians who are victims of this racism and keeps indigenous self-identifying as victims.

Enough with the land acknowledgements by the governments, police and any other organization who are making public statements....It is Kanadian legally ceded to the crown land which since the treaties were signed, belongs to all kanadian citizens....In essence, kanada is everyones land who is a kanadian citizen......

Good. This is anti-Canada statement.

Here's an interesting column:

“Canadian Bilingualism"

https://www.peterbrimelow.com/p/remembering-robert-vandervoort

in the rural West, the Prairie provinces, a major thing that kids did in those areas was to go into the RCMP—the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. But that’s very difficult to do now, because of these bilingual requirements. As a practical matter, people do not learn two languages unless they’re in an environment where they hear both languages spoken. And most Canadians are not.

One out of every three Francophones is bilingual. But only one out of 15 of Canadian “Anglophones” are bilingual.

. It meant, basically, that the government and the Canadian elite institutions are essentially all staffed by the same types of people—namely Francophones, and bilingual Anglophones, from Montreal and the central Canadian region.

Nice bit of info. But what has that to do with this news article.

Just goes to show you that the WEF has completely infiltrated Canada's politician's and bureaucrats! So long Canada, was nice for a short time, but the country is full of morons...Our second to none education system was all a ruse perpetrated against the good citizens of Canada to help complete the brain washing. Canadians are not a smart people anymore! Canadians have fallen into WEF play book, "Hitler 101" chapter 2!

It's getting so that it doesn't matter what political party title a group carries. They all are fake representatives elected to do what ever suits them and their private agenda. Only one's left that are trying to be good public reps are in Alberta and Saskatchewan. If we lost these existing governments, we for sure would have nothing. May as well be ruled by the indians.

This only stops when fed-up citizens GET UP AND LEAVE any gathering begun with a LA. I hope Smith reads the room and bans them from any gov't presser.

STOP this BS! Give us politicians who have the courage to stand against the madding crowds of ignorance and wokeness. This guy needs to be fired and a strong message sent to the rest of the MLAs. Alberta has an opportunity to stand out in the nation as a common sense jurisdiction that rejects stupidity; this kind of stuff detracts from an otherwise noble example.
