Cheap, plentiful energy is what has raised the standard of living of people in this world. Lack of enough energy will negatively affect people. That is why the third world are building coal plants and selling oil. They want energy so they can thrive. Who can blame them. Meanwhile we are trying to shoot ourselves in the foot by this nonsense net zero idiocy. Other energy sources beyond fossil fuels will be developed, because over time it will have to happen. But that time is not tomorrow or even the next several decades or centuries. Destroying our economy and the wealth and comfort of Canadians for some uncertain ideology is not the right path.
I wish other provinces were so vocal about the feds trying to walk all over the country. The feds are too entwined with everything whereas they should be a small factor overall with most things handled by the provinces. The feds should need to present a budget to the provinces to approve. They should be involved in about 6 things, that's it. But like all governments they have wormed their way into everything, because they can. We need to change their ability to just do whatever they feel like.
We all new this months ago that Mr.Carney was not going to help Canada become richer and use their Resources with Oil, He was lying to everyone .He will never allow Alberta to prosper. He wrote a book on Climate change.I am curious how he tries to play Trump
He will be played by Trump because the USA has the power of the purse. Everyone wants access to the USA market. We are right there and most all of our exports go there. Pretending to be tough won't work with Trump. He doesn't answer to Canadians. Every time something like this happens people cry that we need to diversify our trade. But it never happens. Again and again. And that is because the USA is THE market. So get in line, have your hat in hand and negotiate with the things we have as bargaining chips. We have nothing on the Chinese and they are already folding. We need to fold, gently.
Put this federal government on notice that their irresponsible laws, policies and politics will not be accepted nor tolerated. Go Danielle Smith!
