Alberta Premier Danielle Smith has rejected the findings of a recent report on the Jasper wildfire. She claims the report doesn't give credit to the provincial government's efforts in dealing with the disaster, which, tragically, led to most of the town burning down.

The report, by the Municipality of Jasper, has reignited the debate over who should bear responsibility for the 2024 Jasper wildfire, alleging that “provincial involvement added complexity to the response.”
