Air Canada suspends flights to JFK airport citing high fuel costs
Sky-high fuel costs have prompted Air Canada to temporarily suspend flights from Toronto and Montreal to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.
Air Canada has temporarily suspended flights from Toronto and Montreal to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, citing excessively high fuel costs brought on by the war in Iran.
“As jet fuel prices have doubled since the start of the Iran conflict and some lower-profitability routes and flights are no longer economic, we are making schedule adjustments,” wrote Air Canada in a statement on Friday.
