Most of today's financially-obtuse generation have lived their lives using credit cards, have no idea what they're paying each month in interest and seldom have ten dollars in their wallets, so how would they understand a figure like 80-billion dollars? Indeed, how can any of us comprehend that amount or what debt like that will do to the country? The Liberals count on that level of ignorance to win elections. Trouble is, we all pay the price, including the exorbitant tax rates that will follow.

We might be living in Stalinist tenements and eating zee bugs but we sure won't be happy.

How true. Over the years I've had this same conversation on credit with my kids and employees and friends.

Ask anyone in Canada - or the USA for that matter - how they're doing with credit card debt. The answer is always a variation of that same question posed to visitors to Las Vegas. How did you make out in Vegas?

You get one of three answers from Vegas trips: Won a little or lost a little or broke even. All of which are BS.

The only correct answer to the Vegas question is: I lost everything I took with me. The only correct variant to that is: Lost everything, borrowed more, and lost that too.

And yes, Vegas is smart enough to let someone win a large jackpot once in a while. That's how they keep the sheep coming back. Other than that, Vegas does not allow you to win.

With credit cards, it's the same - the sheep always answer: Um, doing OK, I'm managing.

But the only correct answer to the credit card load is: I'm drowning. It's like my mortgage - I'm paying 50 times as much interest than I am on the principal. Can't find a way out. As with Vegas, the house does not allow you to win.

Yes, there are some who manage cards correctly, but they are in a decreasing minority. This, largely due to our runaway inflation, manufactured by the Liberals. People no longer have a choice.

And that is exactly what the Liberals have been doing for more than a decade now. One big difference with politicians, is that when people wise up and shove them out the moon door,

they personally are no longer accountable and get to ride off into the sunset with their golden parachutes, courtesy of the Canadian sheeple/lemmings.

Fitch should downgrade Canadian debt to D for default because that is where we are headed.

Venezuela was rich and middle class once too. We are on our way. That is why they don’t want Canadians to go to the US and see how great they are doing compared to us. We are now poorer than Mississippi!
