91 per cent of Canadians say healthcare system “must change”

The defining failure of Canada’s healthcare systems remains the long wait times, with a majority of respondents now open to receiving routine care from other professionals.

More than 90 per cent of Canadians agree the country's health-care system "must change," according to a new survey by Nanos Research conducted for consulting firm Santis Health.

“Most Canadians believe healthcare is headed off course, with a majority saying the system is moving in the wrong direction (55 per cent)” reads the survey conducted earlier this month. “Negative emotions dominate public sentiment, as seven in ten Canadians say they feel worried or frustrated about the healthcare system.”
